Meet the Band Director
Director Sara Glogowski
Sara Glogowski joined Erskine College as the Pep Band Director in 2020. She also works as the Director of Bands at Laurens District 55 High School.
Previously, Ms. Glogowski served as the Director of Bands at Dixie High School in Due West, S.C., where she helped to double the size of the band program. The Pride of Dixie Marching Band placed 7th at state finals (the highest finish in school history), received the Outstanding Performance Award, and became a staple of the community.
She was previously the Band Director at Honea Path Middle School and the Assistant Band Director at Belton-Honea Path High School and Palmetto High School.
Ms. Glogowski has been an active member of the South Carolina Band Directors Association. She holds a masters degree in music technology from the University of Valley Forge and a bachelors of music from Furman University, where she majored in music education.
An active trombonist, Ms. Glogowski has performed with the Anderson Symphony Orchestra, the Erskine Sinfonia and Jazz Band, and the Poinsett Wind Symphony. She lives in Honea Path where she spends her time on personal fitness, fostering animals, and renovating her home.
